When Rio and Jett visited Morgan & Co Jewellery, we had the privilege of creating Rio's custom engagement ring and Jett's wedding band. After celebrating their beautiful wedding at Carrington Estate in Kenilworth, we asked Rio to share a little about their day in her own words.

As a Sunshine Coast jewellery studio, we're fortunate to work with so many incredible couples throughout one of the most exciting chapters of their lives. We also get to see firsthand just how talented our local wedding industry is. From breathtaking hinterland venues and talented photographers to florists, celebrants, caterers, musicians and content creators, the Sunshine Coast wedding community is filled with passionate businesses dedicated to creating unforgettable celebrations.

Wedding Q&A with Rio

How did you feel when you woke up on your wedding morning?

Rio:
"So excited."

Where did you get married?

Rio:
"Carrington Estate, Kenilworth."

Tell us about your wedding dress.

Rio:
"I chose a Kyha Studios dress that had this beautiful draping element that felt so elegant and timeless. It had a fitted corset bodice with a fuller skirt and the most amazing train. Paired with a lace-trim veil, it was honestly incredible. It was actually the first dress I ever tried on."

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Rio:
"Build a Home."

What was Jett's reaction when he first saw you?

Rio:
"He said it was exactly what he envisioned me in and thought I looked beautiful. He kept commenting all night about how amazing I looked."

What was your favourite moment from the day?

Rio:
"Having our reception dinner outside on the deck with long tables filled with all our favourite people. I remember looking around, taking a moment to soak it all in and getting emotional because it was just so special."

Tell us about Jett's wedding band. What do you love most about it?

Rio:
"We love the simplicity and timeless look of Jett's band. It really complements my engagement ring."

What stood out most about working with Morgan & Co Jewellery?

Rio:
"Just the warmth both Morgan and Laura showed us. They are so knowledgeable, genuinely care for you and always go over and above."

If you could relive one part of the day, what would it be?

Rio:
"Can I say the whole thing? But probably cocktail hour. The vibes were so high and the drinks were flowing."

What detail ended up being more important than you expected?

Rio:
"The little details and personal touches were really important to me."

Did you have a honeymoon?

Rio:
"We did! We spent two weeks in Bali and it was incredible. We were in our own little bubble."

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding?

Rio:
"Everyone says it, but it really does go by so fast. Despite all the stress and planning, it's one of the most special moments of your lives. Being able to share it with my family and my fiancé made it so incredibly special."
