From an entire weekend surrounded by loved ones in a stunning forest setting to a first dance that almost went awry (in the best way!), their journey perfectly encapsulates the joy and unique personal touches that make a wedding unforgettable. About Your Big Day —

Q. Where did you get married?

Tegan: "The Lodge Jamberoo"

Q. What was the overall style or theme of your wedding?

Tegan: "Destination Wedding!"

Q. Tell us about your venue! What made it "the one"?

Tegan: "Ability to have all our friends & family (100 people) stay on site for 2 nights amongst the forest"

Q. What inspired that decision for a destination wedding? What advice would you give to other couples considering one?

Tegan: "We didn't want our wedding to feel like it went too fast. We wanted the chance to spend extra time with everyone (welcome party, breakfast day of wedding and recovery breakfast). We also love travel and wanted our loved ones to join us on holidays!"

Q. What was the most memorable moment of your ceremony?

"Maple (our god) barking ahah!"

Q. What was your favourite part of the reception?

Tegan: "Our first dance - Layton did nearly drop me butttt it was so nice to show everyone our dance we had been practising for months."

Q. Did you incorporate any unique traditions or personal touches into your day?

Tegan: "My mum and dad both wore blue to be my "something blue". "

Q. What is your favourite memory?

Tegan: "Seeing how much FUN everyone had. Honestly, it was such a vibe, everyone was laughing, smiling, dancing and really just let their hair down because the venue made the whole experience so easy for everyone - literally just had to walk 100m back to a bed at the end of the night."

Q. What is your funniest memory?

Tegan: "Our MC's Brooke & Dale with their WWE impersonation entry sounds OR when Layton cracked a bottle of bubbles with our bridal party during our sunset pics (bit of an inside joke moment IYKYK)."
